SAMPLE TEXT FROM "THE LIE DETECTION MANUAL" “You can fool some of the people all the time, and those are the ones you need to concentrate on”. – George W. Bush {From: THE AXIOMS} 1. “A lie is a second postulate, statement, or condition designed to mask a primary postulate which is permitted to remain”. -Id at 657 - “What is Scientology” – Bridge Publications – ISBN 1-57318-122-6 see: www.bridgepub.com “ - Scientology axiom # 36
A corollary: 1c. “A lie is a second postulate designed to mask a primary postulate, statement, or condition which is permitted to remain”.
2. A lie is told to conceal a harmful, suppressive act, or to hide a painful or embarrassing truth. 3. If a harmful or suppressive act is known to have been committed, then there will arise somewhere, the inevitable lie or second postulate or statement designed to conceal it. 15. A thief is invariably a liar, because the fact that the theft occurred must be withheld; the commission of any harmful or suppressive act makes one a liar by omission or commission, because the Overt must be concealed. 26. A string of inconsistencies is reliable indicia that prior postulates or statements are lies; i.e.: the respondent to a series of questions is attempting to conceal a fact, or set of facts from the inquisitor. 27. Taking “The Fifth Amendment” is tacit admission of guilt in a matter; the suspect is avoiding making second postulates or statements that when proven to be false, would impugn his entire testimony. It is prima facie indicia that the person being questioned most definitely has something to hide. Legally, invoking the 5th is NOT an admission of guilt, but the effect is nonetheless an admission of culpability in the eyes of a judge and jury. 45. A credible witness who lies and is believed, is the functional equivalent of a pathological liar. 46. Lies or false statements, libel, or slander which has absolutely no basis or foundation in fact, quickly escalates to the level limited only by the imagination and the surrounding circumstances. 47. Out of the mouths of babes or imbeciles, filtered through the thinkingness and embellishment of a psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, social worker, or other various and sundry Hick-Farmer Sigmund Freud Wannabes, come the most incredible and fantastic bullshit stories ever to be conceived in the mind of man.
{From "COGNITIVE DISSONANCE FACTOR"} Cognitive dissonance theory is perhaps one concept in the study of psychology that has any validity to it. However, because pursuit of the line of reasoning that dissonance theory leads to, takes us into the realm of man's spirituality (something that psychology tries to deny), cognitive dissonance theory is largely abandoned in the field of psychology today: “Cognitive dissonance is a motivational or negative drive state [of mind] which is aroused when a person simultaneously holds two cognitions that are inconsistent with each other... is an uncomfortable state of arousal or tension which individuals are motivated to reduce... produced... by inconsistency between an individual's behavior and self-concept”. If the suspect lies on key points of the matter, do not react, and do not pursue the matter any further at this time. If he tells the truth, it does not necessarily absolve him, or take him off the list of suspects, but it is perhaps indicia that your time and energy might be better spent elsewhere at the present time. Return to the questioning of the suspect only when you have other facts about which to inquire. You should also be aware that politicians routinely propose a “solution” to a problem that they know will never work, but which a majority of people out of ignorance or outright stupidity, will allow themselves to believe. They do this in order to have some solution (instead of none). I could think of several examples, but the most ludicrous of them all has to be the proposal by a New York State Gubernatorial candidate a decade or so ago, for requiring ammunition manufacturers to put serial numbers on (individual) bullets. Now while it is technically and actually possible to put serial numbers on individual bullets, one has to ask what criminal in his right mind would use (or buy) serial-numbered bullets and shoot somebody? Not many, I’d venture to speculate. Well, to some people, this “ingenious” idea would, if implemented, solve the problem of gun-related crime. Needless to say, we have very good data on how many imbeciles we have in New York by the tally of votes this man received. {From: "DENIAL and RATIONALIZATION"} I absolutely hate that word: “denial”. To me, it has come to mean, “You refuse to tell me what I want to hear; you won't admit that you're wrong, and I'm right”. I'm not the only one, I'm sure, who cringes in a suppressed rage when I hear it. What is “denial” – true denial, anyway? #52: What is commonly called “denial” is not a lie per se‘; it is the inability to confront a painful or embarrassing truth. #53: “Denial” or being confronted with false data that cannot be disproven causes dissonance and persistence of the case. #54: “Denial” becomes a lie (or a “Withhold”) when it seeks to conceal a crime (or Overt) that is ongoing, or for which one could be punished, penalized, or prosecuted. A person who has committed a harmful or suppressive act will naturally wish to conceal it. This is because man's nature is basically good, and he wishes to disconnect himself from the Overt (sin, offense, or crime). “Denial” is a healthy indicator; it is indicia that a person's ethics are intact, and that he or she can be helped. A person who is insane by the clinical definition of not knowing right from wrong, will not believe that his obviously harmful act is wrong, and so he will not deny it, and may even proudly boast about it, or freely admit it. This assertion here is precisely the obverse of what a “shrink” will tell you. We see where the Hick-Farmer Sigmund Freud Wannabes have taken us; so, you know that this statement is empirical fact.
