First of all, I must apologize to my readers, because my article here is going to be a departure from the irreverent, tongue-in-cheek articles presented on AssholesAmongUs.com, because it involves a serious topic and deals with much human suffering, misery, and death. If you are reading this on Net4TruthUSA.com or either of the satellite Web sites, then no apologies are necessary for the departure from theme or format.

            The shooting at Virginia Tech on April 16^th of 2007 was indeed a tragedy. When I first heard of it over my MP3 player’s FM radio, I hesitated to listen to it, because it raised unpleasant memories of the Texas Tower Sniper, Columbine High School, the DC Snipers, and an interminable litany of similar incidents I painfully recall throughout the years going back to the murders at Kent State and Jackson State Universities during the Vietnam War. I cover the latter two incidents in my book: “Land of Childhood’s Fears”.

            Of course, every time there is such a tragedy, the anti-gun people come out of the woodwork, spouting their borderline insane logic that “gun control” – if we could ONLY do away with all of those evil GUNS – that this would solve the problem of random murders and senseless tragedies like this.         These people, who are either bereft of any grey matter, or are hell-bent on whittling away at what’s left of the US Constitution, never get the message. That message is this:

Guns don’t kill people; People kill people.

            The truth of the matter is that that the worst such incident in US history – 80 years ago (before my time) was carried out using DYNAMITE. If you examine all of the senseless killings on campus and in schools over the last 20 or 30 years, there is ANOTHER “common denominator” that is not as apparent to the unthinking common citizen. That common element is that EVERY SINGLE ONE of these shooters has either been on psychotropic medications, or has been in the “care” of a psychiatrist or psychologist immediately PRIOR to the violent incident. If you doubt this, please take the time to do a bit of research before you dismiss this out of hand. Read “The Hidden Hand of Violence” – one of the booklets published by Citizen’s Commission on Human Rights International. Some of the articles in the e-Magazines are almost prophetic; and once you read the TRUTH from an organization that has been investigating such things for over 50 years, you’ll be able to see the bias and the idiocy of the NEWS media coverage, and the insanity of the political posturing by politicians who claim that “gun control” is the only solution.

            As I write this, MS/NBC is discussing “high-capacity clips”, and the difference between 15 and 10 bullets in a clip, and whether this demented bastard would have been deterred from having to reload. What they are really saying is that…. Well, why bother to get into it? The discussion quickly made segue[1] to the influence of violent video games, books, and comics. I’m surprised they didn’t cover the influence of Jupiter’s moons. What a bunch of TOTAL assholes! They have nothing of practical use to contribute to the discussion, and so they go into unrelated discussions. There is an old axiom:

“If you can’t dazzle ‘em with brilliance, baffle ‘em with bullshit”

            Well, if your tomato garden is lacking for fertilizer, someone should invent a way to get the horse manure out of the TV set and into the topsoil where it could do some good. I’m turning that TV crap off now; MSNBC says that the police are now investigating the University staff to see whether they could have prevented the tragedy…. Perhaps the University should invest in soothsayers, clairvoyants, and in the absence of funding to hire a prophet to fill a permanent staff position; perhaps a quality crystal ball would suffice.

            The logic that taking guns out of the hands of potential criminals, ex-felons, and mentally-deranged people is going to do ANYTHING to stop the murder of innocent people is ludicrous. Did gun control stop Timothy McVeigh from blowing up the Murrah (FBI) Building in Oklahoma City? Did it stop the DC snipers, or the hundreds of murderers that kill people every day in this country? No. So why not stop the BULLSHIT, already, and start talking about the cause and not the effect, and about the disease instead of the symptom?

            Do I have an answer? Yes and no.

            There is no means by which to prevent senseless killing – if there was, the war in the Middle-East would have turned into Woodstock[2] III by now. If we want peace and non-violence, let’s start with demanding it from our elected officials – they are the biggest murderers on the planet…. We can move on from there. While thirty three innocent young adults lying dead in school is nothing to scoff at, this number is dwarfed by the number of people killed in an illegal, immoral “war for oil”, and by the modern-day holocaust of abortion that has claimed over 50 million lives in the United State since the US Supreme Court ruled in Roe v. Wade.[3] When the country’s government does not respect the sanctity of human life, is it a reflection of the attitude and mindset of the people, or is it the other way around?

            Yes, I am “pro-life”; more accurately, I am “anti-murder”. Vilifying inanimate objects (such as guns) may make sense to some of the intellectually-challenged out there, but the implementation of “gun control” has proven to be an outright failure in this case, since the shooter bought the Glock 9mm pistol legally. If you think the law “wasn’t tough enough”, then go ahead and make it impossible to legally purchase a firearm – then what you’ll have is an un-armed law-abiding citizenry, and an armed-to-the-teeth criminal subculture.

            Look. Here is the “logic”:

            The GUNS are responsible for the shooting.

            If it wasn’t for the GUNS, these students wouldn’t be dead.

            If the clip didn’t hold 15 bullets, there might be less people dead.

            If bullets had individual serial numbers…..

            If we could take guns out of the hands of EVERYBODY,

            Then nobody could shoot anyone….

            And we all could live happily ever-after.

            And here is the reality:

            The DEMENTED PERSON is responsible for the shooting.

            If a GUN wasn’t available, it’s easy to make a BOMB or IED (ask the Taliban).

            If someone is intent on killing, they’ll find a way.

  If it wasn’t that we had so many crazy mother-fuckers walking around, nobody would be dead.

            If we didn’t have so many Hick-Farmer Sigmund Freud Wannabes on staff in the schools,

            We would NOT have so many borderline nut-jobs being turned into homicidal maniacs.

            If everybody carried a gun, there would be MORE law & order in this society, not LESS.

            Following the logic of the “gun control” people; a group of well-intentioned but seriously misguided individuals who are driven by Psycho-Political Media manipulation, and taking the logic to its logical conclusion, we can make the following statements, and claim them to be a matter of empirical fact:

            Box-Cutters are responsible for hijacking airplanes.

            If it wasn’t for box-cutters, the planes hijacked on 9-11-01 would not have been hijacked.

            If we could put RUBBER razors in box-cutters, it would be harder to hijack a plane.

If we could ban box-cutters, we can prevent another September 11^th from happening.

So for all of the money we spend on “FBI profilers”, and all the ex-post-facto, Monday-morning quarterbacking done by the NEWS media – which is more entertainment than informative – we are left with a problem that is made worse by us tinkering with it, than we would have had if it had just been left alone. The question that should have been asked by the mainstream media is, “What would have happened – or NOT happened – if this troubled young man would have avoided the campus shrinks like the plague?” … but don’t hold your breath! The Merchants of Chaos know what they’re doing.

In the interim, the American public is swallowing the psychobabble hook, line, and sinker. The Boob Tube is Gospel Truth in their minds…. I am reminded of the opening statement of Doctor Stan of Radio Liberty that he uses to begin all of his radio shows:

“…. Reality is usually scoffed at…. Illusion is usually king. But in the battle for the survival of Western (Christian) civilization it’s going to be reality; not illusion or delusion that is going to determine what the future will bring.”

My prayers are with the families of the students who were murdered. I am loathe to lampoon such as sensitive and heart-wrenching topic, but if the “logic” that attempts to prevent such tragedies in the future is NOT ridiculed, then I’m afraid that someday, the worst mass-murder with a firearm ever committed in the United States will soon be outdone by some other twisted mind out there. We have to get to the root of the problem, and tell the TRUTH about what is causing seemingly-“normal” people like this troubled young man to go “off the deep end” and murder so many people – and then himself. With sincere apologies to those affected personally by this senseless tragedy, I must end with this:

Box-cutters caused the Terrorist attacks on September 11^th ….

Or perhaps it was the PLANES.

Yes!

That’s it!

The fault lies with the PLANES!

If PLANES were not so easily available….

If Airplane tickets were not so EASY to obtain….

Yes!

Blame the PLANES!!!
