The above chart illustrates the effect of Rank Enhancer use. At first, the increase in the Alexa rating (lower numbers) is due almost entirely to the use of Rank Enhancer. As the site moves up in the ranking, it appears earlier on Search Engine queries until (ultimately) the site appears on the first page of the major Search Engines in a query for site keywords and meta-tags. Because the site is ranked higher, it gets more visitors, and more visitors increase the ranking (numbers get lower). As the site gets more hits, more business is generated, word-of-mouth generates more visitors, and the site becomes very popular. This "self-fulfilling prophesy" becomes evident in the above chart when we STOPPED USING Rank Enhancer for a little while to see where the "actual hits" took the site ranking. As you can see, the ranking leveled off at the increased ranking after a brief 'dip' (rise in the numbers) from August 2008 to Feb 2009.

Starting on Feb 28, 2009, we started testing a list of over one MILLION proxy servers to see if they would respond to "taps" from Rank Enhancer. Any that respond "OK" end up in Rank Enhancer's "session lists" which can then be combined into a huge list, purged of duplicate entries, and subsequently used as a Proxy list. These "raw" lists were culled from sources all over the Internet, and split into manageable chunks which were then tested individually. These raw lists typically gave us an 8 to 10 percent useful yields, which are all combined into a master SESSION list of over 8,000 proxy servers that will return "OK" responses over 98% of the time. Using the session lists as proxies makes the proxy list more efficient by weeding out those servers which do not respond, respond slowly, or are unreliable.

NOTE: The Alexa ranking is a dynamic number. It is updated periodically from data gleaned from proxy servers worldwide. In order to get results like those above, Rank Enhancer should be used whenever your computer is "idle" (i.e. when you're sleeping). Also, the speed at which results like those above can be achieved depends also upon several factors, including how often and how long you use the program, how many different sites you are simultaneously promoting, the speed of the machine you are running the program on, how many machines are running the program that are promoting your URLs, and the bandwidth of your Internet connection. There will be a point in time in which real traffic to your site is generated by actual search engine referrals because of your site's position in the SEO lists (see results above after we STOPPED USING Rank Enhancer). This is also affected by your site's (page's) metatags, keywords, and robots.txt files.
