AGAPE' LOVE

This, I’ll bet most people
never heard of – and if you’re curious, dust off the Greek dictionary and look
it up. Agape’
(with the apostrophe) means something totally different than agape
(without the apostrophe) until the word “Love” is added.
Agape’ love is otherwise known
as “puppy love”, or “innocent love”, and in this case the amore’ felt for the
object of one’s affection is also agape – or “wide open”. Agape’ is the love of
the heart that doesn’t need a physical or sexual component to be completely
satisfying. This type of love gives all, and never seeks to be selfish. It is
the love of the Lord, of angels, and young children. Agape’ love comes only once
in a lifetime between human beings, and once it is lost, it is gone forever; you
can never feel this way about another human being ever again – with very RARE
exception.
Almost no one goes through
life and doesn’t get hurt in love, or doesn’t hurt someone they love – it’s just
not possible. Unfortunately, getting hurt in love is part of life, and the good
parts wouldn’t seem so darn good, if the bad parts were not so awfully terrible.
Se la vie’
In our adulthood, I know we
men are attracted to a woman because of one thing, which I’ll politely call “the
fox factor”. Women, it’s up to you to ‘fess-up and call it what you will.
Ladies, when a man is attracted to you, he will, out of his God-given nature, do
what some of you who have lost touch with their sensuality (and sensibilities)
would call “sexual harassment”. Hey, ladies! Not for nuthin; God made men like
that! You ladies can “sexually harass” men all you want to – if we are not “into
it” with you, you’ll know it, and (speaking for myself) if you turn me off, I’ll
politely excuse myself, because as much as a dog I think you may be, my
perception of you does not give me the right to hurt your feelings; other men
might not be so considerate.
America (the US) has lost all
control over common sense,
as 95% of “sexual harassment” is utter nonsense. It is totally “off the hook”
when it comes to “sexual abuse”, and the Salem witch hunts are alive and kicking
to the detriment of every citizen of this country. Trust me, I’ve been there,
done that, have T-shirt. I could write the Encyclopedia! As a nation, we have
lost sight of the fact that there could even be such a thing as Agape’ love; and
that is primarily because we have allowed ourselves to be corrupted by that
infernal brainwashing machine – the Television set. For a long time (between
1998 and 2004, with the exception of a few weeks after 9-11) I had given up
watching TV because of all the utter TRASH that was being poured forth, and my
I.Q. jumper 12 points. Since 9-11-01, the garbage on the “boob tube” has gotten
much worse.
The “politically correct”
crowd – which includes “feminists” of all stripes, have managed to bully us into
tolerating such “rights” as abortion on demand. Truth be told, if we men would
simply not cooperate with (or instigate) meaningless and empty sexual
encounters, us preachers wouldn’t have to preach
“abortion is murder” from the bully pulpit…. that is, we preachers
who have the balls to even mention
such things. Well, who can blame us? We’ve been mentally conditioned into such a
state of aberration that we don’t think that ripping a helpless human being limb
from limb or sucking his / her brains out with a high-powered vacuum cleaner is
anything to get upset about. If God is just – and I believe He is – then I fail
to understand what has stayed His hand for so long; in His place, I would have
rained fire and brimstone down on you murdering bastards the minute the Supreme
Court passed Roe vs. Wade.
Christians have failed to rise
up against evil – time and time again, those of us who purport to be the
Children of the Living God have forfeited our birthright, and have become
accomplices to the evils we have failed to oppose. Church congregations in whose
midst lurk the whoremongers, whores, adulterers, and fornicators do not want to
hear this message preached, and they run away from the church in droves because
of their shameful guilt; they run away even though forgiveness is there for the
asking; the love of Jesus for the repentant sinner seems to mean nothing – and
they go out contrary to Jesus’ admonition
to the woman caught in adultery,
and they sin once more, and then like
David when he fathered a child out of fornication with Bathsheeba,
commit murder of the innocent in an attempt to escape the consequences.
You have heard it preached falsely from
many pulpits that Christians are to be “loving” – and for “loving” read
“tolerant” and for “tolerant” read “non-judgmental”. The Bible teaches no such
thing. Jesus never said “… be tolerant of your
neighbor’s sin”. Indeed, Jesus taught the exact opposite – even when it
comes to our own sin – when He said, “And if thy
right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable
for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body
should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and
cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should
perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell”.
I do not envy the pastors whose
congregations flee the Church because they dared to preach the message of TRUTH
from their pulpits; they are dealing with a difficult dilemma. I, on the other
hand, do not have to worry about a congregation, or for donations to keep a
church building in a state of reasonable repair, and this message will be
preached on this Web site for as long as the Lord sees fit to leave me on this
Earth. If the message is too hard to take, then there is nothing stopping you
from clicking off this Web site and go look at some Internet pornography. This
is what God said about His messengers:
“Son
of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the
word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked,
Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the
wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in
his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the
wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall
die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul..
As a Christian, I am bound under penalty
of the loss of my eternal soul – to warn you, America. I don’t want your blood
on my hands. If you don’t heed the warning, you die in your iniquity, but I am
absolved of any culpability in the matter; I have spoken my piece,
and I have offered you God’s peace. What
you do with it is entirely up to you. Feel free to bad-mouth me all you want;
even negative publicity is publicity – but before you do, you should know that
God looks after His own. Do I offend you because I write the truth? The Apostle
Paul once wrote in a letter, “Am I therefore become
your enemy, because I tell you the truth?”
I am not doing this to win any popularity
contests. I don’t get funded by the government. This Web site, the tools to
write it, and the Web space to host it is funded almost entirely by your’s
truly. Oh, people have
tried to suppress it, and even succeeded for a few months, but I found out
who was behind it, and they now wish they never heard my name. I am in
NOBODY’S “back pocket”. The only one I fear
is God. “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear:
what can man do unto me?”.
I could give a rat’s ass if the message isn’t in line with the political
Orwellian Newspeak rhetoric of the day – it is the TRUTH – excuse my undeleted
expletives – and if you hate the truth, then get the hell off my Web site and
stop sucking up the bandwidth.
I LOVE THIS COUNTRY – But – I HATE WHAT IT
HAS BECOME. It has become what it is because we Americans have failed to
exercise the eternal vigilance required if liberty is to survive. If the past 45
years is prologue, then the American Republic is not long for this world.
Christians have been led to believe that there is nothing to be done; that the
evil in this world must prevail, and that the Second Coming of Jesus Christ must
be preceded by Armageddon. Moreover, many Christians believe that they will be
raptured before the Tribulation. There is no Biblical support for this belief,
and it may well be that we Christians will suffer along with the guilty and the
innocent, for what the evil people who run this world will bring upon us.
I, for one, do not believe that God is
going to do for us what we can do for ourselves. If we are to be the instruments
of God’s peace, then we must be messengers of His love, and bearers of the
message of TRUTH. It is extremely difficult for me (personally) in my flesh, NOT
to hate evil people. Sometimes I have all to do to restrain myself from going
out, finding the most powerful rifle I can find, and “bust some caps” into some
well-deserving skulls… but there are too many of them. In any case, they’ve got
the media so wrapped around their fingers, that I would end up looking like the
“bad guy” and it would only give them the excuse they need to further their “One
World Government” / “New World Order” agenda.
So what is the alternative? What is the
alternative to hate and violence?
Love;
Pure, unmitigated Agape’ love. As “pure”
as an adult human being could muster.
A love based not on emotions or sexual passions; a love given
in spite of the fact that it is
undeserved by the recipient; but a love that
arises from the intellect because it is DEMANDED of us by the One we believe is
the True and Living God. Hatred consumes the hater, but love nourishes the soul.
I want to eat steak at Peter Luger’s.
We can change the world with love, just as
a child can melt your heart with a smile. We are all God’s children… only a
majority of the world still hasn’t heard the message. If you call yourself a
“Christian” then do what Jesus commanded; that is go out and show your faith by
spreading the Word. You don’t have to become missionaries or martyrs, but you
are obligated to do whatever you can… otherwise, stop calling yourself what you
are not.
The one person in this universe that you
can share your agape’ love with, and not fear the hurt of rejection or loss, is
the Lord Jesus Christ.
He loves every one of us as we tenderly and deeply love our own children –
and more. All that is required of us is the reciprocation of His affection. In
this relationship, you can let your vulnerable “wounded, inner child” touch His
spirit – touch it, and be healed and saved at the same time. It has been my
experience that spreading that love gives me a
“peace that passeth all understanding”.
Let us bring that peace to the world – In
Jesus’ Name.
