The American Gulf War Veterans Association (AGWVA) was
established with one goal in mind: To obtain treatment for those
service members and their families who experience symptoms
collectively known as the "Gulf War Illness". However, there is
more to this issue than meets the eye. As this investigation
into causation has now progressed into the arena of possible
exposure to chemical and/or biological agents, radiation
poisoning due to the use of depleted uranium and most
disturbingly, the use of our fighting men and women as "Guinea
Pigs" in medical experimentation, the AGWVA has now added a
second goal: To obtain justice and compensation for all those
affected by these illnesses. Our troops returned home after
serving their country with an illness that appears to be
spreading into the general population, treatment is being denied
and to date there are no safeguards of our blood supply. Those
responsible have passed the burden of proof onto those that are
suffering and least able to fight the enormous bureaucracy of
governmental agencies that are more concerned with avoiding
admission.

Last month on an outreach in
Manhattan at Washington square Park, I met this man named Rafael who
asked me to come to his home to teach him the Bible. I gave him a
new testament with a promise to come the following Saturday evening
at 8:00 PM. He gave me his address and phone number. Lo and Behold,
the phone number did not work, but I wanted to stay true to my word
and Stacey and I made our way into the city. We got there (it
appeared to be some type of group home) and they said Rafael had
gone out. We decided to stick around for a bit. he showed up not too
soon after. Apparently the Jehovah's Witnesses had gotten a hold of
him. He was discerning enough to know that they were telling him
lies. I told him not to read their bible, so he gave it to me!
We have been going back every week since Mid October and spending
approximately an hour with him in the word and in Prayer. He does
not have the best attention span. I believe he is saved. Pray for
his growth. |

There is nothing in the English language that describes the effect that Kairos Prison Ministry has on so-called "Hardened Criminals". In a country which has 6 to 19 times the incarceration rate of other Western countries, the United States in particular, cannot afford to deny the healing power of the Lord Jesus Christ on the souls of the men and women this society has all but discarded. I have personally witnessed and experienced the love of Jesus Christ through the Christian brothers and sisters that minister to prisoners. Kairos Prison Ministry is a world-wide effort, and its growth over the years is the blessing of Jabez - the increase in territory or "coast" that comes with doing the Lord's work. I encourage the reader to become involved with Kairos Ministries - and don't let prison bars or the reputations or "rap sheets" of these men and women fool you. Many volunteers have commented that they've never experienced anything like the Kairos volunteer experience on "the outside". I know for a fact that many of the prisoners have never experienced anything like this either. What Kairos does is nothing short of miraculous. I ask that you support this ministry generously, and I encourage you to contact them and get involved yourself. Believe me - I do not make endorsements like this lightly... Jesus is the Key Ministries - We go in with teams to three of the facilities at California Institute for Men in Chino, CA four times a month. We are also going to both Chuckawalla State Prison and Ironwood State Prison in Blythe, CA, twice a month.
