The original 1997 Jeep Wrangler I bought is shown in these photos. It has a 2.5 Liter engine, 5-speed manual transmission, Custom rims (all
five), WARNTM Bumpers Front and Rear, a Pavement EndsTM Black Denim Soft Top, 171,000 miles and an engine that was rebuilt (in place) 6,000 miles ago. When I saw this Jeep on South Jersey Craigslist, I knew that the accessories alone (rims, tires, bumpers, fender flares, and step bars) were worth more than half of what the seller was asking. The engine had just been rebuilt, and the interior was immaculate except for the driver's seat which was apparently the chew-toy of a large dog.
The Soft Top was intact, but the zippers were workable, but not in good
shape. The windows were clear, but oxidized beyond what plastic treatment
could restore. When I finally replaced the Soft Top,
I had a perfectly good used one that I had no need for. I advertised it on
NJ Craigslist and sold it to someone who just had both his rear windows and
Sail Panels vandalized.
